Working at Ponacka

We hire a limited number of new staff each summer in support staff positions. The minimum age of our staff is 16 years old and all staff live at camp for the duration of their employment.

For 2025, we are looking for the following positions from June 20th – August 27th (one and two month positions available):

• Dishwasher (3 positions)
  • Previous camp experience an asset
  • No dishwashing experience required
  • Must be a team player
• Cook (2 positions)
  • Previous camp experience an asset
  • No culinary experience required
  • Must be a team player

• Office Manager (1 position – two months only)
  • Must be well organized with attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Previous camp experience an asset

• Riding Instructor (1 position – two months only)
  • Competent in English style riding
  • Able to teach basic riding skills and theory to children
  • Knowledge of routine horse care and barn management

• Maintenance (1 position – two months only)
  • G Drivers License an asset
  • Must be hardworking and well organized, with good attention to detail
